Owner and Art Educator
Amy J. Madej
Amy is an education professional with 25+ years of teaching experience as well as a Master of Art and Master of Fine Arts degree from Fontbonne University.
Amy brings a wealth of knowledge, and skill to the studio, as well as patience, kindness, and empathy. Amy ensures high-quality instruction and guidance for students at all skill levels. She is continually learning to stay on top of techniques, trends, and skills to teach and to use in her work.
Offering a variety of classes and workshops caters to different interests and skill levels, attracting a wider range of students. With extensive experience, Amy can provide personalized guidance, and tailor instruction based on the individual student needs and goals.
Amy has specialized techniques and styles that allow the studio to offer unique workshops and classes not readily available elsewhere. Amy's mission is to provide a local studio that fosters a sense of community, provide a space for artists to connect, share ideas, and collaborate for students seeking a supportive, and welcoming creative environment.

Sydney Nahrgang
Hi! I'm Sydney, a ceramic artist with a Bachelors in Fine Arts from Fontbonne University, where I graduated in 2009 with an emphasis in ceramics. I have been working with clay ever since and especially love throwing on the wheel.
​
In my classes, I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students can experiment, ask questions, and enjoy the process of making. I am all about helping you find your own rhythm with clay.

Anna Katz
Anna is a ceramic sculptor whose work combines food, nostalgia, and technical prowess. Drawing inspiration from grocery aisles, Midwestern potlucks, and the comedy of the everyday, she crafts hyper-detailed ceramic sculptures that resemble familiar foods and easily recognizable, funny, and relatable objects.

Raised in Michigan, Anna now lives in Saint Louis and has been working with clay for over 25 years.
​
Anna has a Master of Arts in Teaching and enjoys seeing what kids in the studio create!

Katie Schaefer
Small in stature, big in personality. Katie is the bologna in a 3 sister sandwich. She is living happily in St. Louis, MO, USA with her mustachioed honey bunny David, rambunctious daughter Ramona, and beautifully bald dog Mysterio.
As a child of the 80’s and 90’s she collected countless stickers, and was a self proclaimed sticker trading shark.

As a grownup she spends her days drawing playful creatures and characters that make her laugh.

Amy K. Holmes
Amy K. Holmes is a sculptor and ceramic artist
whose work is inspired by nature and guided by
an expressive, textural style. With a Master of
Fine Arts and a Master of Arts, from Fontbonne
University, she brings deep experience in clay,
sculpture, and mixed media.
Her art often reflects organic forms and surfaces, combining structure with a sense of movement and play.

In the studio, Amy encourages students to
explore materials with curiosity and confidence,
helping them build both technical skills and
personal expression. She creates a welcoming
environment where creativity can grow, and
where each student’s unique abilities are
supported and celebrated.

Annie Seiler
Annie (Margaret) Seiler grew up outside of Kansas City, moving to St. Louis to attend the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts at Washington University.
There she earned a BFA in Painting and a Master of Arts in Teaching. She taught at the high school level for 9 years while continuing to teach adult and younger children's classes at Laumeier Sculpture Park and Craft Alliance.
She loves working with and teaching a variety of media, but especially loves sharing the joy of pottery with others.

Sophia Koch-Holdsworth
Sophia Koch-Holdsworth is an artist operating in St Louis County. They graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2025 with a BFA in Ceramics.
During their time at the Institute they were awarded the Lead Emerging Artists Prize (LEAP) in 2022 and the IDEAS Council Accessibility Prize in 2025.
Sophia works in many media, but has a strong connection to the process-heavy mediums of ceramics and printmaking. They aim to lift the spirits of their viewers; sending them off with a spring in their step.

Angel Kincade
Hello!!! I am Angel, a local ceramicist and ceramic educator who is fascinated with the idea of a lump of clay being transformed into a person's dream with their own hands. I obtained an Associate's in Fine Arts at Jefferson College.
I have always been in love with art from as early as I can remember. In college I began my journey with ceramics.
I enjoy creating functional pieces like bowls, cups, mugs, and more. All forms of ceramic art excites me. I enjoy teaching, guiding, and assisting others in learning how to create one-of-a-kind of ceramics from a lump of clay.

Brittaney Davis
Brittaney Davis is a ceramic artist and educator who believes anyone can create what they imagine—they just need space to trust themselves, experiment, and push their ideas.
She earned her BFA in Ceramics from Webster University, with additional studies in psychology and expressive arts therapy, and is preparing to pursue her MFA. Brittaney specializes in figurative sculpture and emotionally expressive forms, and loves turning ideas from the mind into tangible works of art. Her work has been featured in several exhibitions, earning awards and sales, and she was also a Gyo Obata Fellow at Craft Alliance, where she now also works.
​
As a mother of two, Brittaney teaches with patience, warmth, and genuine excitement for helping students surprise themselves. Her classes are hands-on, welcoming, and designed for all skill levels—perfect for anyone ready to explore clay and bring their ideas to life.
