Ceramics Professional Development for Art Teachers: Explore the possibilities of clay in the art classroom through engaging, hands-on professional development workshops designed for art teachers working with students of all ages and skill levels. These workshops provide practical, classroom-ready strategies for teaching ceramics while encouraging creativity, experimentation, and artistic growth. Participants will explore curriculum development, age-appropriate projects, instructional strategies, classroom management, materials, techniques, and teaching resources that can be adapted to a variety of grade levels and learning environments. Workshops may include hands-on demonstrations and opportunities to practice ceramic processes, from foundational hand-building techniques to more advanced approaches. Teachers will leave with new project ideas, adaptable lesson plans, resource recommendations, and practical tools they can bring directly into their classrooms. Whether you are new to teaching ceramics or looking to expand your existing curriculum, these workshops are designed to build confidence, inspire new ideas, and make teaching with clay approachable, meaningful, and fun. Amy Madej, educator for over 20 years for all ages with an MA and MFA in ceramics, will be leading these professional developments. You can choose 1 or both sessions: -October 5th-October 26th: Monday nights from 6-8:30pm -November 2nd-November 23rd: Monday nights from 6-8:30pm $400 per person
